Linda Guerrero

Founder & CEO


Linda Guerrero most recently served as Senior Director, Multicultural Publicity, Social and Community at Netflix, where she led a team focused on strategy and outreach for Black, Latinx, API, LGBTQ+ and Faith audiences across film and series.  During her six-year tenure, Guerrero also spent three years as Director of Publicity for Latin America overseeing Publicity, Events and Visual Communications for one of the company's most vital regions.  Before joining Netflix, Guerrero spent 10 years in a Managing Director role at 42 West out of New York, creating and leading their Multicultural practice, with clients including Universal, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox and Netflix among others.  Previously, as a Vice President at Terry Hines & Associates, she helped launch their Multicultural Group.  In her career, Guerrero has also held roles on Publicity teams at Paramount, Rogers & Cowan and 20th Century Fox.  An Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences Marketing & Public Relations member since 2016, she has served as co-chair of A2020 and A2025 since 2020 and the Branch Executive Committee since 2019.

Shawn Finnie

Shawn Finnie most recently served as Executive Vice President, Member Relations, Global Outreach and Awards at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars®).  In his role, he oversaw member engagement and global outreach for the organization’s membership of more than 11,000+ artists and executives as well as Academy Awards administration, rules and regulations, processes for submissions, rules, and voting, along with industry engagement and film festivals strategy and outreach.  Finnie launched Academy Affinity groups that are member-led, staff-supported groups created for members to amplify voices in the Black, Indigenous/Native American, Middle Eastern, West Asia North African, LGBTQIA+, Asian, Latinx and Accessibility communities.  While at the organization, Finnie also co-created and produced the award-winning “Academy Dialogues: It Starts with Us” series and was an instrumental part of the Academy’s premiere events, including the Governors Awards, Women’s Luncheon and Oscars broadcasts, for the last decade. Finnie is the current host of the Los Angeles Times’ digital series “The Envelope.” He has been featured on Variety’s New Leaders list, and received the 2023 AdColor Advocate award.

Casandra Blanco 

Vice President


Casandra Blanco is a dynamic public relations professional with over a decade of experience in crafting impactful communication strategies across the entertainment industry. Most recently, she was a Senior Publicist at TelevisaUnivision’s streaming service, ViX, where for nearly three years, she focused on promoting Spanish-language content. Casandra’s career includes pivotal roles at iMedia Consulting Inc. and 42West, where she helped lead campaigns for major studios like Universal Pictures, Warner Bros., Lionsgate, and 20th Century Fox, as well as three years at Terry Hines & Associates as part of their Multicultural group, specializing in campaigns targeting Hispanic audiences.

Throughout her career, Casandra has demonstrated a unique blend of creativity, strategic vision, and cultural insight, particularly within the Miami market. She was instrumental in launching the Miami Walk of Fame and has led Publicity campaigns for over 240 films, negotiating high-profile promotional initiatives and building robust relationships with Hispanic press and media outlets. Her adaptability and media acumen have enabled her to capitalize on emerging trends, delivering successful communication strategies across platforms.
